Watching LDS General Conference today directly inspired me to write this talk. I actually had to pause General Conference (morning session) long enough to transcribe what was impressed upon my mind. Without further ado, here is that talk:

He who saved us.
This drawing is by me, Phelan Acheson. It represents the weight of America's most recent sins over the last several decades on He who bore all the sins of all mankind.
My LGTBQIA+ siblings, I affirm you.
I have three messages tonight. The first is to my LGTBQIA+ and otherwise non-cis-heternormative siblings of humanity. To you, I say this: I affirm you, I love you, and I cherish you. My heart tells me to add: Your Creator loves, affirms, and holds you, as He/She/They made you.
This? This is what democracy looks like.
1 year after Greta Thunberg followed her own path and did the first ever school strike for climate, the Climate Strike of 09/20/19 was a worldwide affair with around 4,000,000 (4 million) people joining in across the globe.
A spark of hope.
Did anyone else notice it? "What?", you may ask. History shifted this week. Democrats, especially Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, are FINALLY upholding their oaths to the Constitution and have formally opened an impeachment inquiry. See "Read: Pelosi's announcement..." via CNN "Why?" may be your next question. It's definitely a fair question: America's been … Continue reading A spark of hope.
Make space for the slow ones.
"...In short, I believe we have to allow love to make space for justice and that true justice will require us to make room for the terrible people who had no idea how terrible and harmful they were, for those who truly believed they were good and loving and positive to their community. Their hypocrisy is why they can't see noble motives, because they can't fathom what they aren't..."

No, 'immigrants', 'illegals', 'brown people', (insert other racist + dehumanizing word _here_) are NOT taking your jobs. In fact, immigration is a boon to any economy. That's not my point, though. My point is to expose the real culprits behind jobs dwindling. One word: Robots.
NZ has Moral Courage. The US doesn’t.
New Zealand has shown the world what it is to possess the iron strength that is moral courage. They just went through what should be the unthinkable. They didn't merely offer 'thoughts and prayers', nor did they disrespect the memory of the lives lost and dishonor the families by saying we aren't going to talk … Continue reading NZ has Moral Courage.
